Jordy just turned 3 on the 30th of August and I decided that this year we were just going to celebrate it as a family. Keep it small, keep it simple. Jordy is obsessed will all things Ariel and Hello Kitty. So we made the trip to good 'ole Wal Mart to pick out the cake. She saw Ariel and would think of nothing else so we put in the order. Well, my brain was apparently on feeding the cazillion family members that we have here so I ordered the 1/2 sheet cake. Holy huge for a family party. OOPS! The kids have had fun trying to devour the entire cake so not that terrible of a mistake. I had plans for cutting it up and delivering it to family members, but that required actual effort so....sorry! :) It was Nate's usual Thursday late night and so I decided to brave Chuck e Cheeze by myself. Jordy was talking about going all day and I wanted to have 1 celebration this year and not multipule ones like we usually end up doing, so we went with out Dad. It turned out fine and the kids had a ball. By the time we got home Dad was there and we opened presants and had cake.

Jordy lovingly looking at Ariel in this picture

Jordy all decked out in her Ariel dress and shoes, princess gloves and High School Musical microphone.
She wore this outfit for 2 days straight until the lace trim gave her a rash and the shoes made her feet bleed. She has to fight Emma and Ethan for the microphone because it has 2 of the High School Musical songs on it to sing along too. All in all I would say that this little princess had a pretty excellent birthday.

She looks so grown up! Looks like a lot of fun.
Seriously! The next time we come visit, we're going to have to bring some of Natie's dress-up clothes along or there might be some serious knock-downs over the sharing of that ariel outfit. That's all Natie wants to be for Halloween this year...Ariel ...with fins and bobo's. :-) Where'd you find the costume?
Oh, and BTW, we HAD to buy the same cake for Natie's 3rd birthday this year after her seeing it in Wal-mart. I swear I have a very similar picture of her lovingly staring at her Ariel cake, too. :-)
The costume is from the evil Disney Store. You'll never believe that it was Nate who bought it for his little princess. Mr hard hearted I don't spend money on expensive crap totally melted when he saw the costume and new how it would light up Jordy's eyes. I think he's just trying to buy his way to being her favorite. :) I did see a much cheaper version at Target in the halloween section though and the costume will be half off at the disney store in a couple of weeks.
