Well, the house is
movin' right along. Building a house is stressful
business for sure. It is especially frustrating working on someone
else's timeline. When I know something needs to be done I like to get it done right away. Waiting around for appointments for cabinets and lighting fixtures etc. kills me. I need to know what it is going to cost sooner rather than later so that if an unexpected cost pops up I already know what all my other costs are going to be. We are building a pool with this house and as you can see from the pictures we are pretty far along in the process and have I met with the pool people yet? No! It is going to literally drive me bonkers. The builder has all the control because they are "including" the pool with the house, however we are going over their "included" price. We need to meet with the pool designer and design the darn pool and decide how much extra we want to spend to get the hot tub and pool cover and to make the pool something that I want to own for the rest of my days in this house. It is a pretty big deal if you ask me. This whole process has been an
exercises in patience for me. The actual building of the house is
whizzing by, which is a good thing since we are living in this little rental house until the house is done. So until then my little
mantra is.....it's going to be beautiful, it's all going to work out, it will all be worth it. I just keep telling myself these things over and over and over and over.................... :)

The house really is turning out amazing despite the fact that when the house is at this stage everything has a tendancy to look really small which leads me to freaking out. I've had to reasure myself with the tape measure a couple of times thinking rooms were too small. The front entry is pretty amazing, my master bath is awesome, and my balconies are huge so that helps to distract me. I'm still pretty stressed about the size of the kitchen and nook and some of the bathrooms. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and repeating my mantra. It does look pretty awesome though, doesn't it?
