Cotton Candy Sky

My Favorite time of day is when the sun is nearly set. I love to sit outside and watch the vibrant colors from the last rays of the sun dance in the clouds. Sometimes it looks like big fluffy cotton candy and other times it looks like fire. We are big lovers of cotton candy in this family and love to pick out shapes in the clouds so it is no surprise that when the clouds turn pink we think of cotton candy. We have this breathtaking sunset on display at least a couple of times a week. There is a pretty small viewing window so you have to be watching for it to catch it. I also love to see on a crisp blue sky day the moon out at the same time as the sun. With all of this sky watching I have become increasingly more disappointed in my camera. hint, hint, Nate! ;) Especially when it came to the one of the moon looking mysterious in the cloudy night sky. The picture I got did not do it justice at all. The moon was so bright that you could see these thin black clouds passing in front of it and it reminded me of Halloween. The one with the moon out by the mountain when it was still light outside was so bright that you could actually see the topography of it. All of these pictures were taken this June and July and from either my backyard or the front yard. I highly recommend going outside in the evening while the sun is setting and just sit and take in the beauty of this magical vast sky with all of it's mysteries. It looks so close you could touch it.
