Cozy

I love this time of year when the house gets down to frigid temperatures at night so that you can pile on the blankets and disappear into the cozy protection of a million blankets. Nate gets up about 30 minutes before me in the morning leaving me all alone in our huge bed. After he gets up the cold air gets in under the covers and I have to seek out the warmth left by his body on his side of the bed. This is usually when I start thinking about all the things I need to do and how I wish I didn't have to get out of bed, but before he goes he always leans down to give me a kiss on the cheek. If I'm awake I always stick my arms up in the air and make him give me a hug too which transfers a yummy amount of his aftershave onto me. For about 10 more minutes I get to cozy up under the covers on his side of the bed with the comforting smell of his aftershave on my cheek waiting for the craziness of the day to begin.
