Craftin with C

This past Thursday I spent the day with my friend C helping her recover her dining room chairs. She believes that she is decorating challenged so I agreed to help her out. We went and picked out the fabric together and then a day or so later we got to work. We set up craft central at my house and got to work cutting and stapling the fabric. I was on staple duty since C couldn't seem to get the staples in all the way and I kept hitting my thumb with the hammer trying to hammer them in the rest of the way. What happens when you staple 8 chairs? You get an owie! That's true love for you right there I tell ya! We were on such a roll that she decided to sneak in an extra project of recovering a bench cushion with some left over fabric that her brother-in-law used to sew her a new bed set. Yes, I did say brother-in-law. I think the 2 of us are going to have to have a craft off! Needless to say, C had to staple the bench cushion because my hand was out of commission. Anyway, we had blast and C tried out her new seat cushions to see if they would rip when she sat down. Did they? Of course not, I helped make them!!!! lol I talked her into using 2 different fabrics - 4 chairs each - and I think it turned out awesome and luckily, so does she. I love crafty days!
