The ginormous hole has finally been dug for the swimming pool. After much consideration we went with a "party pool" that only goes to 5' of depth. Diving pools leave little room for a shallow end especially when your hot tub is also in the shallow end which is not ideal for the little kids. We decided that for what we want to do with it, (water aerobics, laps, volleyball, all kinds of pool games etc....) this was the route to go. Hopefully we don't end up wishing we had a deeper pool. The pool itself is going to be fan-flippin-tastic! With it being salt water and having the hot tub, self cleaning, self heating, self filling, remote controlled awesomeness we should hopefully not have to spend so much time taking care of it and just plain 'ole enjoy it.
Here we have the result of the "scissors" event. I decided that instead of paying money for a boy cut I would attempt it first and then go and get that fixed if it looked too dreadful. So, here is my attempt. Not too bad for someone that doesn't really know how to cut hair. I just made it up as I went and only spent about 15 minutes on the haircut. We have started calling her Tinkerbell because she looks like a little pixie now. This picture doesn't have all her bangs brushed forward because it is still wet from the cut, but that is the way she has been wearing it and then the back I flat iron and flip out. She is so darn cute. I'll have to take another picture and post that one on my face book account sometime because she really does look just like Tinkerbell.
Well, I hope you enjoyed. I figured this was a better post than me blogging about songs again. I have gotten myself back into that sort of a dark and twisty mood again and that is usually what I blog about when I find myself there. Hopefully the clouds will part soon and I can find some energy to make it through the rest of the summer-which only started a couple of weeks ago. :) Just as an homage to song I will end with..........."The shadow proves the sunshine."
