Positive Vibe?

Ok, I just need to know who didn't put out the positive vibe for me? The ones that mocked and laughed and said it wouldn't happen--you know who you are! :) I was stickin to the positive reinforcements everyday to close on my house on the 31st of July only to return from vacation to find things going down the crap chute faster than you can say crap chute! There is a comedy of errors and delays the most major of which is that I ordered cabinets at least 4 months ago and the guy just placed the order because why? The explanation is too long for anyone to care, but in short, he's a flippin idiot. These cabinets take at least 3 weeks to manufacture. Yes, my friends, 3 weeks. Without the cabinets in the tile work on walls and back splashes cannot be done and counter tops cannot be measured for and ordered. There is also some little stand off of sorts going on with the darn pool as well which leads to not being able to finish grading, landscaping etc.... Nathan thinks it's comical while I am ready to kill someone with my bare hands. This whole experience is going to drive me to drink. I am having a meeting with my builder tomorrow to have a "reality check." That is not a good phrase. Nothing good can come from saying those words!
So in the words of Kit Kittredge's father "Don't let it beat ya." I am trying not to totally let it beat me, but I feel like crawling under the covers and never emerging again. My level of frustration is just really high right now and I am tired of being nice and understanding with my builder to make it through the rest of this process alive and with a house.
I think my poor husband thinks I have finally gone off the deep end over this whole house thing because he called me and had me place an order at Pei Wei so he could bring me home something good to eat and then he sat down and watched the season finale of the bachelorette with me---which he hardly ever watches tv especially that crap. Then he told me that he thought I needed cheering up and a distraction and handed me some cash ( for anyone that knows Nate, he is very tight with money on the "nickle and dime" stuff especially now that we are building a house) so that I would go and buy guitar hero for the wii which I have been wanting since it came out. It was all really funny with the whole bachelorette show in the backdrop and the romantic (the 2 guys were romantic in different ways) dilemma she was having and then Nate hands me cash ...............oooooh how romantic. lol :) He always knows how to make me laugh and feel better.

He seriously handed you cash? He must be very concerned! Spend every last penny and play that game to your hearts content. It'll all work out, Heath. I'm still sending out the positive vibes!
