Today was my lucky day. I got to go into Nate's office and get an x-ray to check on the pain in my right foot. I've been having this pain for a few weeks now and originally thought it was a neuroma. I think it all started a couple of weeks ago when we went to San Diego and I was in high heels for a couple of days straight and then add in my 3 miles a day I walk and my seriously hammer toe toes and something like this was bound to happen. I have orthodics that kind of aren't in my running shoes at the moment, or last few months of moments for that matter--oops. Finally last night I put my foot in Nate's face and made him take a look and he realized that it was probably a stress fracture and that I would need a boot. Say wha???? After my few moments of sadness and trying to asses if he was joking he told me I had to come in to see him this morning. So, this morning I headed over to the office and he let me see his partner, Chad, for my second opinion and then I got my super stylish boot to wear around for a few weeks. Nate got to be the camera man and have a good time laughing at me because I am a completely noncompliant patient and did this to myself. Whatever! :) If you look at my right hand in the picture you will notice my nice little inflate/deflate pump for pumping air into the boot so it fits snug. So high-tec and yet so totally putting a cramp in my style. It's hard to miss for one. It's all for a silly little stress fracture for 2. I can't walk 3 miles a day for a few weeks and will likely inflate like a balloon for 3. I have to take off the boot so I can drive for 4. I'm feeling grumpy about this boot, can ya tell???? lol. So, when you see me walking around like a gimp and you ask about the boot....the story you will get is this-- I was training for a marathon AND NOT how because of my jacked up toes and feet wearing high heels too long probably is what caused this! :) I hate it when the Dr is right!! Anyone wanna come watch movies with me while I sulk???

Why, yes... I would love to watch movies with you. In fact, I think I'll just jump on a plane and be there in... oh... a few weeks? Yay!
Me too!! I guess it's good that you've got a doctor who knows what he's doing, right? Oh, and just happens to be your hubby, as well. Poor Heath, sorry you have to wear a boot and that your foot hurts. 3 mile walking? Soooo overrated. ;-)
