This Boot Ain't Made For Walkin'

So, I'm about 3 weeks into this whole boot wearing thing and .......it stinks! Not literally stinks, that would be bad, but figuratively stinks. I didn't realize how much I would miss being outside and walking every day and I think my dog is now depressed because he isn't getting a walk everyday. You do however draw quite a bit of attention everywhere you go having a bedazzled boot on. I get a lot of "oh my, what did you do?" "advertising for you hubby?" "letting your husband practice on ya huh?"were you kickin some butt?" "did you kick the tv when the Pres. was on?" to which I always have to say: "It's not that exciting, honestly I'm not sure what I did." By far the most funniest was an experience that I had at the temple with one of the little (actually he was very tall) old men there that asked what I did and when I gave my standard reply he said, "you're right that isn't very exciting!" "Here's what you need to say instead.......I was riding on a horse and he bucked me off, but my foot got caught in the stirrup and the horse just kept draggin me along until a good Samaritan looked out the window, saw me and rushed out and...........unplugged it!" So funny! He was one of those awesome story tellers that made it even better.
I haven't been doing a very good job of takin it easy with my foot because with the boot on I can still pretty much do everything. The only problem is that it isn't getting any better and I have been threatened with a plaster cast and crutches. Yikes! Then I really couldn't drive and would need the handicap placard for the suburban. :( I'll have to try harder to be better I guess. I got all the stuff I need to redo all of my recipes so I really have no excuse now.....except for the part about really not wanting to! :/

Well, the way I see it, with the boot on, we'll have a totally legitimate excuse to just sit around and watch movies all day together while I'm there. :-)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... Oh, wait, I won't be there. Boo hoo!! You guys are so going to see Valentines Day without me, aren't you?! Sigh. No fair. On another note, you totally need to tell that story when people ask what happened. I can't stop giggling about it, how funny! I hope you feel better soon and don't have to get a real, live cast. That potentially COULD be stinky (the smelly kind). ;)
