What's the saying? The 4th times the charm? No? That's not the saying? Well, this is my 4th time at the 5th grade musical tribute, America. Emma had her turn as a roaring 20's flapper girl and both my boys were civil war soldiers when they had their turn. Jordyn got to be a baseball girl which is so fitting to her personality.
I'm just grateful that with all the turmoil this country is facing and everyone yelling about being offended all the time, we can somehow manage to have a musical tribute to America.
This musical celebrates everything that makes America great. It goes through all the influences on this great nation. We saw square dancers, civil war solders....carrying....gasp.....fake rifles.....and they pretended to get shot dead....gasp......flapper girls, african tribe music, hawaiian ukelele playing, and the favorite american pastime -baseball. Did I forget anything? Hope not.
We had a moment of silence for all those who have lost their lives in the service of our country. We said the Pledge of Allegiance, and we all sang The Star Spangled Banner.
Jordyn was the cutest baseball dancer there!
