Saturday Fun
This Saturday we took a day trip to Tent Rocks at Cochiti Lake. It takes about 30-40minutes to get there from our house. Aaron and Laura were going and invited us along. We hadn't been there yet and found out that it was a true shame that we were living so close to such beauty for so long without taking the time to see it. We didn't get there until about 2:30 and the park closes it 5 so we didn't have as much time as we would have liked, but we are sure to go back for longer next time. We decided to do the 3 mile hike but only go as far as we could and turn around and come back. We chose this route because it is by far the prettiest and most scenic hike they have there and from the pictures you can see that it was just amazing there. Emma was quite handy with her stash of band aids and boy did we need them. Jordyn kept slipping in the sand and Bridger took a tumble once too. The wind started kicking up at the end when we turned around to come back down and I selflessly lent Jordy my shades. I don't give my shades up easily especially since my eyes are so sensitive, but I had my hat and my little girl is worth it so she got to wear them. The kids did great on the hike and the only real problem we ran into was keeping Morgan hydrated and a couple of cuts on Jordyn and Bridger. The kids loved it and wanted to keep going all the way to the top where we've heard that the view is amazing. We highly recommend a visit to Tent Rocks if you haven't been yet. Next time we want to see the lake too.....any chance to see water here in NM is a sight to behold for sure! :)

I saw Champ in some of the pictures, how did he do? Wish we could have been there! We miss you guys!
That does look really pretty there! The kids are getting so big. I love that picture of Ethan looking up at you, so classic Ethan!
He did really awesome. He loved being somewhere new and he even met a couple other dogs along the trail. The weather here has been amazing, I love spring when there is little wind. The kids have been swimming everyday, but like you said we don't have a cool river to go to here.....or ocean, or stream....:)
Why do we always hear about these cool places after we have moved...guess that means we need to relocate back to ABQ.
