AZ Trip

I just had one of the best Spring Breaks ever! I was feeling completely guilty that I was leaving the kids instead of entertaining them for their break, but it turns out, they had more fun without us! The 18 yr old that was watching our kids did a phenomenal job. The kids got to go to the aquatic center, the hands on science museum, and sledding in the mountains all while we were gone. I was actually worried that they wouldn't want us to ever come home. :)

The weather in AZ was just beautiful. It was a breezy 80 degrees and the sun was shining and I was wearing shorts and sandals. I sunbathed, shopped, ate, watched movies, ate, sunbathed and shopped. So much fun. I also got to visit my dear friend over in Maricopa and her sweet little twins. She had just had some laser resurfacing done (one of the perks of her job) on her face so it was bright red and bleeding. This didn't make for good pictures so I have a picture of her covering her face and one with me and the back of her head so that we could document our time together. :) It was about an hour drive from our hotel to her house and they live out where the dairy farms are so it smells like poo all the time there. Nate was not happy about the trip or the hideous directions the nav was giving us to get there so I got a picture of how he felt about the whole thing. So classic. I love that Man!

Our GPS was constantly sending us on wild goose chases and angry "make a u turn now" moments. It has turned into a joke between us now and it lead to some pretty exciting adventures. One of which was on our way in and instead of staying on the freeway to get to Scottsdale, the nav took us through a place called New River. It was so beautiful and there were pretty cactus everywhere so I took a picture of one. To my amazement the sky was pretty beautiful there too.
