The New Office
Well, here it is, the new office. We have started moving a few things over, but they are still seeing patients this week. The official move will be next week. The colors came together fantastic. The reception area that we were worried was going to be too small ended up being perfect in size. The waiting room however, is very small. The designer made a pretty big mistake on the plans. All of our existing furniture was measured and the new space was built around that. We had to make some compromises because of the amount of space we had to work with but overall we thought everything would work. Well, when measuring the waiting room chairs and designing a space that would fit all 10 of our chairs...the designer obviously forgot that people have legs. As a general rule I don't think people want to be straddling each other while waiting to see the dr. There unfortunately is no way to remedy the situation. We are backed up to hallways both directions we could potentially expand so, unless we move again, we are stuck with it. We brought the chairs over and played around with the configuration and finally came up with a way to get 8-9 of the chairs in without anyone touching knees. We have a display wall that has to go in so depending on how far out into the space it goes will depend on if we can get 8 or 9 chairs in. Who wants to bend over to look at something and end up sticking your behind into someones face? Not a good scenario. The size of the room would work with 4 treatment rooms going but the problem is that no one comes to a foot dr by themselves and they usually don't just bring one person with them they bring the entire family along. Fingers are crossed that everything works out.
