How We Cope

We had a funeral for Zazzles tonight.  It was pretty freezing cold outside but we took great care to make everything special.  What was especially cute is that Jared got worried about Micah later in the evening and went looking for him.  He found him over the back wall sitting on the grave.  Awwwww, it just melts the heart.

In memory of all the many times we sang this song to zazzles…
"soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur, happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr"
After the funeral we comforted ourselves with a "Buddy" cake and sang zazzles her song.  After the song we perused the kajillion catalogs we've gotten in the mail.  The most entertaining?  The pajama catalog.  We originally started looking at it because it made Emma cry earlier in the day because you can buy matching pajamas for you and your pet, there was a very cute cat that made her sad.  But this time when we looked we found a weird page….An entire family….including a dog wearing matching pajamas and then off to the side by herself?…..apparently the pregnant teenage daughter?!

Oh, but it gets better.  A few pages later I encountered a strange word…Pajancho with the actual tag line "from fiesta to siesta."  We were laughing so hard we were snorting.  A pajama poncho -of course- makes the perfect pairing for your pajama jeans... to wear... out in public…to...you know…your fiesta…..so that you can just come right home and siesta….or siesta right there on your friend's couch!  Jared thinks whoever came up with that ad was a genius.
We still needed some cheering up, and what better way than to get out the ole elf on the shelf?  Emma perused her pinnings and found the perfect idea to get us started off.  Jared was being maniacal elf.  So, here's what Phil would be saying if Phil could say:

"Hey Jack, I'm winning!" (never mind the fact that he only has 1 dollar)
"Gentleman's bet, 1 dollar…"( his 1 and only dollar that he is about to loose on the bet)
"when security shows up, it's every man for himself!"

Yes, we were having fun playing with dolls!  Fingers crossed that the littles buy into this trickery tomorrow morning :0)
After I thought we were done being sad for the day…Emma sent me the pictures I asked her for and we both started crying again.  Here's a few more
I love the screen shot of Emma and Zazzles!
My favorite of her being a mother, holding tight and loving those kittens.  Dang it, now I'm gonna be crying for the rest of the night!
