I haven't done anything about my completely adorable children lately so I figured it was long overdue. E loves to play with clay. I don't love that he loves to play with it. It makes a greasy mess over everything it touches. These fun little projects also get carted all over the house and usually end up smashed into the carpet or the furniture. But, when they are this darn cute, how can you stay mad?
E was super proud of his penguin. He was so proud, he got ahold of my phone and snapped some shots. What was killing me is when I asked him about the numbers on his penguin he said "oh, those are his prison numbers." "He's in prison." I'm also loving the straws taped together for the prison yard. I guess the only logical thing to do with a clay penguin is to pretend he is in prison.
Miss J is a little mini me. She loves it when he brother has friends over....one of them pretty much lives here. As I observed what was going down pool side I had a flash of the future and I thought - oh boy, I've got trouble a brewin. The nice thing about playing with boys is that you get to be the queen bee and she has figured out this little secret.... My brothers were younger than me so there wasn't much hanging out with their friends, but I had my own set of male friends- because girls can be mean.....and boys are way more entertaining. These 2 are only a year apart in school and she's got the older brother thing working in her favor. I can see E coming to me in a couple of years and telling me to keep J away from his friends because she is ruining everything.
Things to look forward to- Not!
