I've had my mind on other things lately and so I took a bit of a hiatus from writing. I didn't want the opportunity to pass for documenting last weekend though so....
We had stake conference on Sunday. Our ward was assigned to our building instead of the stake center, but because my hubby had to be there, we got to partake as well. He was even able to save us some nice comfy close seats.
This probably didn't turn out to be the best idea. I have decided that my kids can no longer play with electrical devises, no matter how spiritual the content, because they need to learn to pay attention. Well, they have just been finding other ways to stay distracted.
What gets whipped out? Floam. They started sculpting all manner of animals and people. Luckily floam stays together quite well, or the cabosh would have been put on the entire endeavor. But, towards the end, the sculpting took a distracting turn...
Luckily the meeting was over, but as we made our way out of the building, Ethan walked tall with his head held high like he didn't have a care in the world----with those floam glasses on his face.
The kids were embarrassed by him and he got lots of looks and giggles. One man even pulled him aside to comment- probably to say something about reverence- and then he just couldn't because of the look on Ethan's face -it's a look that one can not help but smile when they see.
Jared ripped them off of E's face shortly after and ruined them making E cry, but he got them fixed and back on his adorable face so that I could take a picture. Jordyn fashioned herself quite a nice beard. Don't they make quite the pair?
I guess I should have put these pictures first because the piano recital happened on Saturday. Oh well, both my little munchkins did a great job. Daddy even raced over there between seeing patients at the hospital so he didn't miss it. They were the first 2 on the program. Which was awesome, but the older kids wanted to bail right after they were done and we had to have a little chat about respect and performance etiquette- which they both know from being in choir and band.
