I have been super lazy the last several Christmases. I usually make candy or find some cute thing to give to friends and neighbors, but I just haven't done anything for probably 4 years straight. Life gets crazy and I have been finding myself not in the mood to add anything extra. There is also so much pressure on deciding who to give the gifts to and whether anyone is going to feel left out and trying to figure out how many extra to make incase you get an unexpected gift from someone. The stress leaves me saying bah humbug. Well, this year I must have caught the Christmas bug, or the insanity bug, not sure which because I made 30 of these things. I decided that I really don't like getting tons and tons of sweets at Christmas and find it hard to eat them which usually ends up making me feel guilty that people spend time making things that we just couldn't eat. So this year I decided to peruse the internet looking for cheap, cute ideas that didn't involve food. This is what I decided on. The tape dispensers were purchased at a $ store. Actually, it took 4 stores to get enough to make 30 and I was beginning to curse my cute little gift. It is important that you purchase the dispensers that have a back on them because you stick a magnet there. By putting a magnet on the back you can stick the tape on the fridge where you can always find it, or just keep it out of the reach of the kiddos. My kids are obsessed with tape and whenever I go to use it, it is usually gone! I used sticky tape to adhere the tape to the christmas card and I already have tons of card stock and ribbon. I even had a roll of magnet in my craft box and I pulled out my trusty glue gun to affix the ribbon. All I had to buy was the tape and pick up the photo christmas cards I made. I thought it was a super cute idea and everyone that I talked to loved it. It was simple and inexpensive, yet thoughtful, which makes for an excellent gift.
