Ethan and Jordyn came downstairs to show off Jordyn's handy work on Ethan's hair. His luscious locks are getting long enough to put in pig tails on the side and a little pony tail on the back. They wanted me to take pictures of it- with the condition that it was not to be posted on fb or ig. I told them that -first of all - I don't even have an ig account and secondly -surely that doesn't include my blog.
"especially your blog, that's even worse."
How's that possible, no one reads my blog
"well, what if it becomes famous"
you think so huh, doubtful
"you're my mom, of course it will."
He said it so simply and matter of fact - it was totally sweet. So, you heard it here first. When I'm dead and gone and the world has sunk even farther into the gutter, maybe my words will emerge from the rubble...until then....I'm totally fine if no one ever stumbles across my ramblings. But it's nice to know that my son thinks that simply by me being me and being his mom that it's worth something.
He just came down and checked to make sure his pictures weren't on here. Then he changed his mind and said. "I'm going to be nice and let you put them on there." He then wanted to clarify that what goes on here ends up in the books he reads, when I said yes he said that he wanted the pictures in the book so I should include them.
So without further adieu
He needs to enjoy those locks while he can before Dad makes him cut his hair.
We had a successful cake day. Jordyn went with me to pick out the cake and we thought we got a major score. Not only was it a 'frozen' cake but it was her first choice of marble. What we didn't find out until we cut into it was that it was not marble at all, only vanilla. We got robbed! Even though we didn't get the cake we thought we got, we enjoyed it. We got all cozy with cake in our tummies and watched the movie by the same name. There has been so much controversy over this movie. Normally I'm the crazy person saying that I refuse to watch movies with lefty agendas but this time I didn't see it. The short of it is this, it's about you having the power to thaw your own frozen heart and having the courage to conquer your fears and I loved how true love was sisterly love instead of romantic love for once. It's awesome and it has a wicked soundtrack to go with it ;0) btw, Nate would only let me take a picture of his butt. "Look at it, it's perfectly symmetrical."
While I was throwing out the recycling I found the missing notes of trickery. I remembered wrong on one of them, instead of "I'm so sorry mommy" she wrote "I won't do it again."
It says:
Dear Mommy,
I was very bad in class today. I scribbled and crumbled my paper after I threw it one of the students. I am very sorry and I promise I won't do it again and I'm fine with you grounding me. I also cheated.
Sincerely,
Jordyn
