Dundundundunnnnn

Jordyn is getting quite a bit of attention on my blog as of late, but it's because I keep finding stuff.  We went through the kids' backpacks and got rid of all the papers and notebooks this afternoon.  While we were throwing stuff away I came across 2 stories that made me smile.  This little girl of mine is a hoot.   The real gem of this story I didn't even discover until I was finished.  It is under her name and date on the first page, "dundundunnnn".  Reading that first probably would have let me know what I was in for with this story.  Instead I got to ride the unexpected ride.
The Floating Chair
Once upon a time there was a 16 year old girl named Rose.  She was sitting on a bench all by herself because her parents died when she was 2 years old.  She was also lonely because she had no friends.  One day she drove to the store to go get food and when she got there everyone started to laugh at her.  She hurried up and bought
(pretty tragic story so far)

her food and the next day she bought a house.  (things are looking up) Then she bought furniture but that day stuff was going wrong!  ( I imagine the dundundunnnnn goes here)  Then it happened.  She was dead (maybe here too - dundundunnnnn) and no one saw her again.  10 Years later people were buying furniture and she woke up and she found she was not dead but possessed.  (dundundunnnn) She was in a royal chair in the
air and everyone obeyed her.  Then she finally died of old age.  The End

Ok, at this point, I'm wondering what kind of twisted mind my child is working with.  Dead parents, dyeing in a furniture store and not really dying but being possessed and then people obeying the possessed lady in a floating chair.  When I asked her why she wrote such a scary story she laughed and asked if I had seen the picture.  Behind the rough draft also attached to this story was the picture below.
The kids in the class had to select a picture out of a Chris Van allsburg book and they were supposed to write about it.
Nice little story about how a friendless Nun became possessed through her tragic life and spending spree.
Dundundunnnnnnnnnnnnnn! :0)
This next story is a tragic tail of climbing trees.  Why Jordyn thinks trees are such a danger is a mystery.      There is a tree somewhere out there that has done her wrong.  I've got to hand it to her, she really thought of many many ways a tree could harm you.  Another little gem is found by her name.....Jordyn is cool

Climbing Trees
Climbing trees is dangerous because it might be raining and if you start to climb you might fall off and break something like your leg or arm and it also might be dangerous because you can get cut because one of the branches are sharp.  It is dangerous because you might of lived by that tree for years and years it would be old and you could fall.  Its dangerous because you may not know they are cutting it down and you might get seriously hurt and would have to to to the hospital and have to stay there for a few months or so.  Last but not least is because you might be a really really little kid and would not have a parent around and you would crack your head open.

I'm sure my Ethan has some gems hiding somewhere for me to find.
