Making dinner for my family causes me much foreboding. No one likes anything. If I don't cook, they complain that I don't cook for them and when I do, they complain that I never make anything they like. Well, that's pretty hard when the list to choose from contains about 3 things. So I go through phases of making dinners and being strong and listening to the moaning and crying and then other times I just tell them that they know where the cereal is.
I made a bunch of freezer to crockpot meals and I pulled one out on Tuesday to thaw. I was supposed to make it yesterday but I left the house early and didn't make it back until it was too late to cook it in the crockpot. The kids lucked out and we had pizza instead.
I was more on the ball this morning and got the chicken broccoli Alfredo concoction into the crockpot. It was looking a little sketchy when I took it out of the fridge. The alfredo sauce seemed to have separated and it wasn't looking all that appetizing. I figured that it would work itself out from a disaster if I just moved forward with faith.
Ummmmm, yeah.. Epic fail. It looks disgusting. I txt my friend a picture of the putrid mess of slop and she said "well, it looks like it was trying to be good." hahaha There is no way I am going to be able to get anyone in my house to put that to their lips with it looking like it does. The sauce never found it way back together. It's a disgusting mess.
Cereal for dinner again!
