This was our year of political activity. I got in all kinds of debates on-line about politics and we had yard signs and we even helped a local candidate and friend. Our scout troop needed some service hours and their leader just happened to be running for state rep. The boys spent a saturday holding signs at all the polling locations and then went out for pizza after. Nate and I also went around the district pounding signs into the ground. It was a fun little adventure dodging traffic and toughening our skins while people yelled obscenities at us while we were putting the signs in. All our hard work paid off and he was elected....unfortunately our pick for president was not.
