Pajama Pants

Every year for Christmas Eve we open up a pair of pajamas.  This year I decided to be all domestic and make the pajamas myself instead of buying them.  I found a super easy pattern that uses a pair of pajamas your kids currently wear as a pattern and went to town making 8 pair of them.  I decided to make a pair for 2 of my nieces that live here in town as well.  The older kids and Dad matched and I matched with the younger kids.  About half way through the project my sewing machine broke so I had to go and get it fixed to finish up.  So, by the time I finally got around to making mine, I was tired and done with sewing.  I forgot to take into account that the pair of pajamas I used as a pattern were low rise therefore there was no room for error.  Well, error I did.  There isn't nearly enough fabric to cover my bum.  The kids thought it was hilarious so I did a little hip shake dance for them trying to convince them that I made the pants like that on purpose.  My entire rear end is exposed when I sit down so keeping an extra long shirt on is essential to wearing these.  Oh well, not everyone can be a perfect domestic goddess....at least I'm entertaining :0)
