My Bday

Looking back through the posts I've done compared to the pictures I have it is apparent to me that I was in a pretty bad mood last year.  I didn't write about anything.  Now there are more posts in a couple of days than I did all year.  I want to get this year turned into a book so I am hurriedly documenting the events of the past year and then just ignoring the little bothersome detail about the dates.

So, obviously my birthday is in June when this trip to SanDiego happened.  Ca is one of my favorite destinations but my birthday is the worst possible month to go there because it is always freezing and dreary.  This year was no exception.  I even took a picture of a random girl with her kids in a bikini because I thought she was certifiably insane considering the temperature outside and the temp of the water.  I was wishing for my big down coat, I was that cold.  There was sand art all over the streets and it was so fun to look at and I pretended that Nate had them put there just for me.  We also got to visit the mormon battalion museum there and it was so informational and so inspiring.  I got to eat real mexican food and realized that I have turned into a new mexican because I was missing my green chili.  Crazy, I know!  On the beach with the crazy bikini lady we also played in the rocks there looking for crabs and Nate tried to help this super cute little brother and sister catch some but those little critters are fast!  Back at the hotel one of the nights there were fireworks, again I pretended that Nate had them go off just for me and my birthday.  I am a spoiled girl and very loved.
