Ok, so I usually don't do this, but I'm going to make an exception. I just got home from seeing a movie with 2 of my friends. It is a movie about a girl who is obsessed with Jane Austin so she goes to a reenactment camp.
In the theater with us for a 12:05 show there was an old couple, a mother daughter duo and the three of us.
We were about 10 minutes into the movie and laughing and squealing and commenting. The old man was not happy. He turned around and said that he'd had enough of our laughter and wondered if we were planning on shutting up. Ummmmm, yeah, that didn't go over too well. We told him the movie was funny and we were going to laugh, so if it was going to bother him, he should leave. btw, we did hear some laughter from him throughout so he must have decided to embrace the estrogen.
We did try to laugh a little more quietly, but one of my friends has a very loud laugh that was hard for her to contain. The movie is seriously hilarious. The poor old man suffers from not being a girl. He has no idea how true to life the movie was with the hilarity of the way girls fantasize over all things Austin. The older woman behind us at one point commented to her daughter, "I don't get it". So, there are some girls out there that don't dream of a life filled with bonnets, tea, witty conversation and Mr Darcy.
The background to the picture itself was equally hilarious. I need to see it again just to pick up on everything I missed the first time. It's been a long time since I genuinely laughed like that at a movie. There was some serious eye candy in the film as well. It also had a Napoleon Dynamite vibe going on that added more hilarity.
For a girl that only finds enjoyment in the BBC channel, it was delicious, and if this place were real, I would soooooo be there.
With that, tallyho and.......it's getting hot in here.......
ps, Pippin from Great Expectations is in a movie! They've redone Romeo and Juliet again. I just think that Heavenly Father should spread the beauty around a little more and not give so much of it to one person.....Hey, listen....I'm not blind! I've already admitted to having a problem.....that's why that movie was so hilarious!
