Does It Get Any Better Than This?

Today is one of the best days ever!  It was opening day for Balloon Fiesta.  The weather was horrible yesterday so it wasn't looking good for a launch today, but up the balloons went.  Jared got the scope out for Jordyn to enjoy the balloons from our balcony.

Our neighbor has a tradition of making donuts for conference, so she called the kids over to pick some up.....which they brought back into my home.....which made me think I couldn't be rude.....which made me put one to my lips.....which made me eat 1.  My very first carb in 10 days and it was a donut covered in cinnamon and sugar!  If you're gonna go out, might as well do it right!  I am back to my juice for lunch, some concoction called "un-beet-able."  It is amazing how full 1 donut can make you and for how long.  Incredible.

Nate had to do a radio interview this morning and we have no radios in the house that got good enough reception.  I sent the kids out to the car to listen for when he came on while I enjoyed conference.  I'm sure the neighbors wondered what in the world we were doing in the car.  The fortune Emma is holding says "ask your mom."  Now, whenever there is question, I will point to her fortune. HA!  The BYU channel was having major problems today and I finally gave up on it and just watched from the computer in my office (the mormon channel ended up working much better from the roku).  Nate did such a good job.  Not too many "ums" and he was very succinct, he did such a good job answering foot questions and plugging his practice.

I was almost finished with the Book of Mormon and tried really hard to be done before conference started, but I fell just 3 chapters short.  I've lost count now how many times I've read it from cover to cover.  This was from the 90 day challenge I took with the yw.  It was supposed to be done by school starting.  I wasn't too worried about it because I knew the girls would be just as far behind.  With my study of the NT, it takes up more of the time I could devote to reading a bunch in the BOM each morning.  I've got other things to do, but I still read 2 chapters every weekday morning.

I was excited to see the video our stake made that is airing between session, but I've got to go out with the missionaries and we don't have recording capabilities.  Oh, well.  After the talks today, I'm doing the more important thing.  :0)

Quote of the day so far by President Uchtdorf "doubt your doubts, before you doubt your faith."  Everything was really good this morning.  I missed most of Sister Stephens though because I was listening to Nate on the radio.  There wasn't a talk that I didn't think that I needed to hear.  Awesome!
