Jordyn decided that if she didn't get to bake today, she was going to die of boredom. Never mind that we only had 2, 40 min windows in which to accomplish this. She made the cupcake mix all by herself and got them into the oven. On our next 40 minute time slot she and Ethan decorated them. The decorations came from a little candy kit. They got them decorated and all were happy and boredom was averted.
OK, seriously how cute are those darn cats? The little ones have to be touching Zazzles at all times. Even though they are cute, I keep thinking "maybe this will be the day when the coyotes get them." They are mostly outside so it's not effecting my life too greatly....except when they whine at 5:30 every morning to be fed.
When I got home from a meeting tonight Jared met me in the kitchen with a question. "Really Mom?" With a book called "Accidentally Amish" in his hands while laughing hysterically.
"How does one accidentally become amish? Are you churning butter one day and then suddenly you become amish?"
He had an entire comedy bit regarding the silliness of this book.
I couldn't answer the question because I never read the book and it's time to return it to the library. He was not satisfied with my lack of knowledge on the subject so he read the synopsis and gave me a report. My child is hilarious - and apparently I am too - for bringing home such a book!
btw, if you are wondering what happened to all the spiritual stuff - don't worry - stuff is churning around in my brain. It's just not down to a manageable size yet. Conference was sooo good and my NT reading has been amazing, I just haven't been able to break it down yet. I'm currently reading all the talks and getting more/new stuff out of them. When I have something to say, I'll say it. Until then....
